The Kingdom of Lillendell is an online high bandwidth adventure game. Set in an enchanted kingdom deep below the moons surface. The aim of the game is to allow the user to explore a magical world, interact with the objects and master how to complete the games objective. The aim of the game is to create the perfect nightmare or dream, and give it to the humans of earth.
The game opens with an introductory story, explaining that fifty feet below the moons surface lies an enchanted kingdom called ‘Lillendell’. Lillendell is inhabited by a small community of fairies that work to create dreams and nightmares. In order for the Kingdom to survive, the fairies must gather human snores that give energy to Lillendell. All the objects in the kingdom hold magical powers, which the fairies mix and match together to produce powerful effects so to collect more snores. The more disturbed the human’s sleep is, the more snores will be released.
The project is created in Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash. The aim was to create a semi-realistic environment, which incorporates real photography and fantasy art. Its purpose is to be a visual delight for the user. This magical environment is open to everyone to explore on the Internet and to try to understand their own dreams.
