Veer me

veerMe is an online journey planner made by Dan Claydon for a major project as part of his final year Interactive Media Production degree at Bournemouth University.
The places that get suggested to you are World Heritage Centre sites and National Trust sites. The initial aim of veerMe was to also include locations belonging to English Heritage, National Trust Scotland, Historic Houses Association, Historic Scotland, Cadw, the Forestry Commision, and also Blue Flag accredited beaches. The aim of including such places is to drive traffic to, and raise awareness of, physical and virtual locations associated with the aforementioned. However, the availability of accessible and documented feeds was virtually impossible so as it stands veerMe is still a work in progress. If you belong to any of the above associations and would like their sites included in veerMe then do please get in touch: danclaydon[at]gmail.com.
Big thanks go out to Mike Williams for his Google Maps API extension and also to Movable Type for their Javascript implementation of the Haversine Formula - both of which have contributed massively to the functionality of veerMe.
